Fountain International Seminary was founded by Dr. David & Ruth Shamenda who are originally from Southern Africa. He has been a Pastor for over 35 years & has worked jointly with his wife Ruth pastoring from Harare, Zimbabwe to Livingstone, Zambia and now for over 20 years in the United States. In addition to church planting, David has presided over institutions of higher learning, trained leaders as well as mentored many men and women of God across the nations of the world. He has also held many seminars & revivals across Southern Africa, Europe, & the USA.

About the School

Fountain International Seminary (FIS) provides educational opportunities for current and future leaders in ministry. Founded by Dr. David Shamenda, this school was established in order to help advance leaders and impart Dr. Shamenda's wisdom, which he has accumulated over 35+ years of ministry experience. The Seminary originated as an institution in Georgia, and previous graduates of FIS have gone on to become successful professors, pastors, and presidents of international ministries.

In its new form, FIS, now located in New York, seeks to provide programs at many levels that will enrich the life and ministry of either those already involved in ministry or those looking to become leaders in the church. The ministry experience-based Doctor of Ministry degree program is designed specifically for current ministers who are looking to take the next step in their educational journey, and is intended to be achievable while they remain fully engaged in their calling. The upcoming 6-month leadership program is designed to be a classroom and experienced-based intensive training for those with a passion to become leaders in ministry. B.A. in Ministry and M.A. in Ministry degree programs are also available.

Fountain International Seminary endeavors to teach and train those that have the call, dedication, and commitment to help make a difference in people’s lives and, by so doing, to imitate Christ’s character and works by fulfilling the Great Commission, reaching out to all parts of the world with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our mission is to help students both to learn about and to walk in the perfect law of liberty, which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our ultimate goal is the success of our students guided by passion, excellence, integrity, trust, and hope.

Fountain International Seminary is located near Buffalo, NY, headquartered at the facilities of Home City Church, where Dr. Shamenda is the pastor. Coursework and degrees at FIS fall under the accreditation of Okanagan Bible College, a Royal Charter college in British Columbia, Canada.
